A tool that measures the performance and the stability of web applications under real load conditions.
Proxy Sniffer measures the response time and the stability of web applications under real load conditions - by simulating hundreds or thousands of web users.
Proxy Sniffer was especially designed to let you test the performance of Web Portals, E-Commerce Shops and E-Banking Applications.

Here are some key features of "Proxy Sniffer":
Universal HTTP/S Proxy-Recorder:
· The universal proxy-recorder supports to record Web sessions with any Web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari ...). Also Ajax calls triggered by XMLHttpRequests can be recorded as well as XML/SOAP messages of technical B2B HTTP/S client-programs. Encrypted HTTPS connections are fully supported and decrypted on the fly.
High-performance GUI:
· Recorded Web sessions can be functionally enhanced using the GUI. Additional requirements, such as logon with individual user accounts, or the handling of dynamically-exchanged session parameters, can be achieved with a few mouse clicks.
· Unlimited Scalability - simulating thousands of users
· Depending on the test scenario, hundreds of Web users can already be simulated by only one load-releasing computer. The scalable architecture of the product supports additionally an unlimited load generation with thousands of users by a simple combination of several Windows and/or Unix systems to a homogeneous, load-releasing cluster. Furthermore, remote execution of load tests is also supported.
Realistic Test Scenarios:
· Several tests can be run simultaneously. Multiple client IP addresses can be configured for each load-releasing system in order that Web application clusters can be stressed in a realistic way. The network bandwidth for each simulated user can be reduced in order to simulate slow access connections, like DSL or modem lines, to Web applications.
Support for all Current Authentication Methods:
· Proxy Sniffer supports to login into Web applications with HTML form parameters as well as with HTTP basic authorization (username/password pop-up window), NTLM authentication (Windows domain accounts) and X509 client certificates (PKCS#12). To each simulated user an own user account can be assigned.
Real Emulation of Web Sessions:
· Together with the automatic support of session cookies Proxy Sniffer offers further functionalities to handle dynamically exchanged session parameters efficiently e.g. hidden form parameter, .NET VIEWSTATE parameter und J2EE URL rewriting parameter.
Automatic Protection from "false positive" Measurement Results:
· Proxy Sniffer compares during a load test the content of the received responses with the content of the originally recorded responses using a unique heuristic algorithm, thereby recognizing errors at application level - even when a correct HTTP response code is returned. This protection against "false positive" measurement results is automatically applied for each test.
Detailed Error Analysis using Frozen Error Snapshots:
· When an error occurs, Proxy Sniffer saves a complete copy of all data exchanged between the client and the server in the form of a "frozen snapshot". After the test has been completed, or even during the test, the actual error can be analysed to determine the circumstances under which the error has occurred. Incorrect Web Pages can also be represented later on.
Real-Time Statistics:
· During a load test, the most important measurements are displayed graphically in real-time, allowing to monitor the progress of the test. The behavior of all simulated users can be observed at any point during the test.
Detailed Measurement Results:
· After the end of every test, there are over 17 different diagrams and statistics available. From these results, a complete formatted test report can be created as a PDF document. Results from different load tests can be compared to each other, allowing the efficiency of tuning measures to be verified. All test results can also be exported in CSV format and as HTML tables.
